The Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team is a fully voluntary organisation which responds to mountain incidents for those in need on Snowdon and the surrounding mountains. The team is on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and relies on donations from members of the public to carry out this essential life-saving rescue service.

I needed a taxi pretty early in the morning and incredibly last minute due to my car breaking down. Miguel was able to squeeze me in and made a stressful experience a little bit easier. He drove me to and from my destination, offered advice regarding my situation and was very helpful. After dropping me off again, a few hours later Miguel rang me and told me that he had asked a friend with an Air B'n'B if we could stay there in case our car was still not working. Miguel is a lovely man, an excellent driver and was really helpful! Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a taxi in Llanberis!

Highly recommend Taxi Arfon - Miguel provides a reliable, punctual and professional service plus he's a really nice guy! We were due to climb Snowdon on bank holiday Saturday but the weather was awful so I messaged him on Friday to rearrange to the Sunday morning instead. As we didn't want to mess him around or make him lose business, we offered to pay for both mornings but he kindly said because we'd provided him with ample notice he would only take the fare for the lift he'd provided. We'd definitely use Miguel when we next stay in Llanberis.

Excellent service! For anyone doing the Welsh 3000s I would highly recommend Miguel. He knows the area very well including all best drop off pick up points for the challenge and doing the Welsh 15 peaks. He was always on call with some last minute transfers!

Miguel drove us from Bangor Train Station to our campsite and we used him for the trip back as well. He was on time to pick us up and just a lovely person. Totally recommend!

Miguel is a great guy and helped us out when we didn’t really know what we were doing! He was on time and very friendly. I would say he drove a bit too fast for our comfort, and although Miguel is very knowledgable and knew where he/we were going, we didn’t! So could benefit from being a bit clearer and accommodating when giving and receiving directions/location. All in all a good experience!

Miguel was brilliant for my 3000s hike. Dropped me off at Pen y Pass at 4:15 and kept checking up on me throughout the day. It was really encouraging!! I sent him my location on the route and at the end of the day Miguel picked me up at the car park after a short wait. Thanks again Miguel

Top service and a friendly guy. Picked up on time at 3.30am to go to Pen Y Pass and received several texts during the day checking I was safe whilst in the mountains.He was also waiting for me at the end point which was perfect.Couldn't of asked for a better service.

Had a last minute trip to Bangor, hoped in a taxi. The driver Miguel was incredibly helpful. His website helped me track the weather and where I should go. But the thing that got me is that when I was on top of the mountain i got a text from Miguel asking me if I was ok. Truly the best service I’ve ever had in a taxi thank you Miguel.

We came into a bit of a problem on Watkin path so had to travel back down and the signal on phone in that area is poor and they even had a telephone box which is broken when people with no signal should b able to use it migeal picked us up took us straight home and was so helpful and takes his job serious so. If anyone comes here he is a good taxi service to use

Sorry for the late review Miguel.A year ago a two of my mates used Miguel after they finished their Welsh 3000's and rightfully gave him a 5 star rating after finding them in a random un-named car park at the bottom of Drum and directed them to food at 1am.Back in June I joined one of them to complete the 3000's again, this time we booked Miguel for a pick up (as per his suggestion), he even remembered where the car park was from the year before! Miguel knows the roads like the back of his hand and we were back at our car before we knew it (possibly because we slept for most of the journey).We will be using him again for sure, see soon Miguel!!

We booked Miguel of Taxi Arfon for our Welsh 3000’s challenge to take us from our car parked at the finish to the YHA at Pen Y Pass in preparation for our early start the next morning.The week leading up to our collection Miguel was in regular contact with us sharing advice on the challenge logistics, confirming pick up times and location and just reassuring us everything was in place for us.Miguel has so much knowledge and experience of the Snowdonia region and this made our challenge preparation so much smoother.Throughout the event itself Miguel asked that we messaged him at various points to ensure we were safe and well and did not require any further help or assistance. Fair to say this was miles above and beyond any “regular” taxi company or driver. Miguel is such a kind soul and a real gentlemen. His passion and desire for us to complete the Welsh 3000’s was remarkable and we really felt that he was looking out and thinking of us the whole 24 hours.Anyone planning their Welsh 3000’s challenge, do not hesitate to contact Taxi Arfon.
